My purpose for painting is three fold :
RE-CREATION : I see painting as a physical and sensual approach to give flesh and bones to a long-buried instinctual voice.I question our surrounding of artificially-injected learned reality or supremacist "ready-made" reality and fast-food for the eyes,to re-create in its stead a LIVING IMAGE,the physical presence of the painting conversing with the on-looker,whose subconscious is being called upon to enter progressively the image through layers of meanings,a sort of an"archeology of the mind".Some paintings more than others seem to operate this way.
RECOVERY :  After some social dissolution, being out in the world and out of the studio,I see painting as an act of personal recovery of the self,a personal quest for unity and consistency. As I paint,I slowly gather the pieces, like while in a meditation, fusing the collected parts into an organic ensemble coagulated by the alchemy and magic that the process of painting represents to me.
RECONNECTION : I want to reconnect the human world to a more organistic understanding of life, borrowing from the ever-lasting WOMAN-SPIRIT archetype as the Life-Giver,notion today too either derided or even totally forgotten.
